The Journey Continues...

Sean is a HUGE fan of  [title of show], Jarrod wants to meet John Tartaglia, Matt just wants to tag along and Steff is there to make them all look straight...until she's battered by the economic crisis and can't come along.

Will the Aussies have all their dreams come true in New York City?

20 Days To Put On A LIve New York Show!

Ok so the first day of really trying to get a show on in New York has kind of been and gone, and some interesting things have happened. But not necessarily good.

Many of you may remember that I'm trying to put on a live show in New York in 20 Days using just the internet and the generosity of others. That means somehow I need to find a producer and a venue and all the fancy trimmings in what is now closer to 19 days! AH!

Is it possible-
Doubters say no, but I've always been one to doubt a doubter, so I'll say yes!

First off the bad news, sadly there is already bad news.
The original plan was to have Jarrod and Matt on board as cast members, however (and it's all cool peeps, I'm not gonna pull a Jarrod and make them quit the trip!) they would rather not 'work' while on holiday. And that's fine. Because you've got to respect peoples wishes. See everyone there is todays life lesson.

I however still think it would be crazy/cool/awesome/amazing if I could get a show on in New York with fancy guests, and Jarrod and Matt said they would come and watch (because seriously how often do your friends appear in a show in New York and you coincidently happen to be there at the same time!) Matt also shot gunned filming the performance- which means we can broadcast it to the fans on YouTube...yay!

So there was the bad news, the medium news (aka not good but not bad)
Still no venue. It's only been one day so word can't have spread that much- but we need to get that word spreading. A lot of people have said to me 'Oh I don't have NY contacts'...but! You do have contacts! Spread the word people- it's the whole tell 9 people. Eventually one of the people that your friends friends friend may tell might own a club with an open mic night which we can kind of turn into a closed mic night for a night! Who knows! Spread the word- help lend a hand. Put this in your Facebook status:

Can you help Sean the Aussie Fan get a live show in NY in 19 days? http://seantheaussiefan.blogspot.com

The good news- because we've got some good news. And it's all about that spreading thing. My good friend Naomi who has come to see my live shows before has put in a good word about us on her blog- it's a puppetry blog, but luckily our show has featured some puppetry and some friends so we can plug this a lil. Here's her lovely posting that she made about the idea: http://puppetsinmelbourne.com.au/index.php/blog/2008/11/24/across-oceans

Guess what- you can blog about us to!
Link to our videos, link to the blog, talk about the crazy plan. Spread the word people- I NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE THIS COME TRUE!!!!

And I feel it really could work!

So let's keep it up.

PS: I'm also thinking of the show name being something like this:

Sean Bryan
(The Aussie Fan Of [title of show])
In
SUPER FANS
MESSAGE BOARDS
And An
ECONOMIC CRISIS
(Or my trip to New York)

http://seantheaussiefan.blogspot.com
www.youtube.com/lazycreationsgroup

So todays mission for everyone:
Spread the word!!!!!!!

Tomorrow's mission will be for me to create a new ep about the project and spread the word more.

I will also be daily blogging about this- so stay tuned!!!

From The Facebook: Help Us Get A LIVE SHOW in New York

Arts industry related sources from Australia are spreading the rumour that the small time YouTube Fan Series 'Sean The Aussie Fan Of [title of show]'s Show' is planning a Big City run. Word from the net says that the other Boys From Oz are planning some form of small variety show about the journey to New York which has already taken them well over 6 months of planning.

However with only 21 days remaining until the trip, and no confirmation of the show, critics are skeptic.

After scouring the net we found this publicity release:

'Forget Hugh Jackman's possible Broadway Return, and quit waiting for Priscilla to arrive Sean and his trusty side kicks Jarrod and Matt are on their way from Down Under to the Big Apple for a night of songs and laughs in 'Sean The Aussie Fan Of [title of show]'s Live Show Christmas Spectacular'. The ever so slightly popular YouTube series 'Sean The Aussie Fan Of [title of show]'s Show' is currently undergoing the 'Live Show' transformation it deserves, and will be playing for one night only in New York City- the town they've longed to be in for the last few months. A night of fun and frivolity awaits with fancy guest stars (hopefully) and fun surprises (again we hope) as the trio takes on their travel story, Broadway's super fans and message boards, the economic crisis and whether Airplane food is really a joke!
Sean, Jarrod and Matt have been entertaining viewers on YouTube since April this year when the series premiered, but also have experience putting on shows and appearing in other things. Who could forget their performances in the Australian Amateur Premiere of 'High School Musical On Stage' or the thrilling performance of 'The Famous Hep-Pae Brothers Circ De Funct', and you'll definitely remember them from their other hit YouTube series 'The Mafia Show'...actually then again you may not as no one has seen that.
So if you're in New York, and you're a fan of the YouTube series, or a fan of [title of show] or a fan of SOMETHING you're certain to enjoy 'Sean The Aussie Fan Of [title of show]'s Live Show Christmas Spectacular' where there's something for everyone!'

It sounds like a truly exciting event-
But there is a few problems.

The group are 21 days out from New York
They don't have a producer,
They don't have a venue,
They don't even know if this dream could become a reality.

So that is where YOU can help!

It's time to make some more dreams come true people as Sean, Jarrod and Matt seek out to put on a great little one night only show in 21 days! If they can!

Do you own or know someone that owns a venue that might like to have us come play there?
Perhaps one of the empty Broadway houses now that Jarrod's closed all the shows to make room for us?
Maybe somewhere all arty and Off-Broadway...
Ok maybe a bit too much of an ask
How about a rehearsal studio, or a little bar with a performance space, somewhere that has an open mic night or perhaps a karaoke venue that we could hijack for a night?

Secondly- our show really has no budget, as we're busting pretty much all our bank accounts just getting to New York- so do you know someone willing to kick in some hours and produce us, help us get everything sorted out?

Do you think you could offer us anything else?
Currently we're scouting for special guests and fun surprises, depending on where we end up we might need some sound or lighting, or perhaps a projected backdrop, or other cool tidbits like that. Maybe you know other people that enjoy our YouTube show...as such you could pass this on and tell them. Maybe you know people that know people that have cool stuff that could help us!

Put it this way-
Broadway's lookin a lil like a sinking ship right now-
We figure you need some Aussie cheer to restore your faith that theatre will continue fighting on.
This will be a show by fans, about fans, for fans! A tale of how a bunch of teenagers who were fans of [title of show], John Tartaglia and The Sopranos managed to come to New York, have an adventure and put on a show, thanks to a thriving community of other fans on the internet!

We can make this happen!
We can get a show on in less than 21 days!

But we need your help!

So start calling or emailing or facebooking messaging those peeps you know!

Comment this message with any news you have or feel free to private message me, and let's try and get this thing off the ground!

The Nightmare

Hey folks, so I thought this episode deserved a blog post, because it has some pretty big news attached to it, if you haven't seen it, you better take a look because this post will contain spoilers:

So as you can see Steff is no longer coming to New York with us :(

However the above episode is a little dramtised, and I shall now explain that.
1. There was no argument. We're good friends and would not let something boil to a head like that, especially not with Steff- she's too nice to do that to.
2. It was definitely not about Avenue Q- Steff does actually like Avenue Q as we all do, it just worked well for the episode to explain it this way, with Jarrod on his Avenue Q Over All Evil Mission
3. It is because of the economic crisis, keep that in mind kiddies when considering investing money in stuff.
4. It's been news that we've kept for some time. You may hear me reference it a few episodes ago just as the "There is life outside your apartment" music begins to play. We have actually known since the closing day of [title of show].

So there's the sad/bad news, Steff will not be joining us.
The good news is:
1.We're all still friends.
2. Jarrod, Matt and I will still be coming to New York from Dec 14-22 as planned, BOYS TRIP!
3. We will be seeing Avenue Q
4. We will be getting presents for Steff.

So there is some explanation to the latest episodes events, and the truth behind the show. We hope you're still enjoying taking the journey with us- highs and lows, dramatised and non-dramatised.

41 Days To Go!!!!!!

See you all soon!

All There'll Be Is Avenue Q

The sun is shining
It's a lovely day
A perfect morning for a kid to play
You've just made sure that your flights are paid
What's else to do?

[title of show] worked hard
But their takings were low
Legally Blonde
It just had to go
Xanadu wasn't much of a show
So you know

All there'll be is Avenue Q
All there'll be is Avenue Q
Spamalot's gone too
Hairspray is pretty screwed
And all there'll be is Avenue Q
The greatest show is Avenue Q
All there'll be is Avenue Q

The 'Adopt An International [tos]ser Program'

SADLY AT THIS STAGE I CAN NO LONGER ACCEPT ANY MORE INTER[TOS]SERS.
FOSTER [TOS]SERS IT'S TIME TO ADOPT, ADOPT, ADOPT!!!!!

New York is a very lucky City. It has
Broadway. Many other places do not have a Broadway. Take Germany for example, the poor folks have had Starlight Express as their main show for the last 20 Years. Australia only gets shows that stay for a few months then dart off to somewhere else, and many countries don't even have that.

Broadway is special, it allows the dreams of dreamers to come true. Such as those people behind [title of show]. This new and original musical has inspired people not only on Broadway, not only in the US but all over the globe.

The terrible news of course is that [title of show] is closing prematurely on October 12 2008, and many [tos]sers from around
the globe will not get the chance to see the show (even though they may have been saving for months on end to get there by Christmas).

But now YOU can help!
Forget the kids in Africa for the moment
Put the things you bought at the Flea Market aside.
It's time you adopted an International [tos]ser and it's simple.

People applying to be Foster [tos]ser
Click one of the names below to enlarge a filled out form from one of the 'International [tos]sers'.
Now you fill out your first section 'Foster [tos]ser Details' applying a photo of yourself so your International Buddy can see who you are and why you are in love with [tos].
You can fill it out by hand, or in word, or Photoshop or whatever is easiest for you.

Second Part Of Being A Foster [tos]ser:
Send an email to your adopted [tos]ser to let them know they've been adopted (and also maybe let me know who you adopted so that I can mark that down so that everyone gets a chance).
Buy a ticket, and go and see [title of show]
If you're really up for it and want to get the full experience, go one ticket price up from your normal price, as if you were actually taking a second person.
MAKE SURE YOU TAKE YOUR FORM!
Watch [title of show]
Enjoy it.
Remember it.
When the show is finished head to the stage door and fill in the '[title of show] Details' section.
Write down the date you saw the show, and what you thought of the performance so that your [tos]pal from another country knows just what it would have been like to be there.
Then at the stage door get the autographs of as many of the cast and crew as you can. There's only lined room for the four main guys, but I'm sure you could get autographs all over the sheet if you wanted!

FEEL FREE to make the experience as big as you'd like it to be- if you want to get your inter[tos]ser a Playbill or perhaps some of those cool [tos] pencils DO SO! Email them and see if they'd like to pass on a message to the cast! Make the experience as exciting and as interactive as you'd like- so the inter[tos]ser feels like they're PART OF IT ALL!

Then take your form home, scan it into your computer and email it to your buddy so they can experience the joys of [title of show]

Now there are some rules:
(Because we're trying to get bums on seats and save [tos] remember!)
- 1 Buddy Per Person Per Show
(So if you want to take 3 international [tos]sers you need to have 2 other friends going with you to see the show to take their own buddy, or go see the show three times)
-Try to spread the love as much as you can
(Go twice, take a different buddy)
-Don't wait til closing night- the stage door will probably be packed and your poor inter[tos]ser may not get any autographs then.

International [tos]sers On the return of your form all completed by your [tos] attending pen pal please leave a message of thanks on the specially made Post on www.supertossers.com
It's called 'Adopt A [tos]ser'. If you have any questions you may have found they've also been answered at the supertossers website or you can post your question on the forum and I'll answer.

Have fun adopting and seeing [title of show] people!
And thank you for helping out those who cannot make it.

THESE ARE THE INTER[TOS]SERS THAT STILL NEED TO BE ADOPTED!
TAKE ONE TODAY!!!!!
Ann From Sweden
Sarah From England
Ashley From The UK

Molly From USA
Kyle From Ohio
Josh From USA
Cary From The USA
Raena From Minnesota, USA
Nora from the USA
Paula From The UK

(Those above people still need to be adopted but I'm having an issue with Photobucket and they won't upload GRRRRRRRRRRRRR, I'm trying, I promise)

Terrible News- And A New Campaign

Firstly:

Terrible News: October 12 is the day [title of show] is going to close on Broadway. That's 2 Months and 2 Days before I arrive in New York.

But!

Currently in the works with another international [tos]ser we're coming up with a plan where you can take us to see [title of show] in an 'Adopt An [internation tos]ser' Idea.

Stay tuned to the blog for details- and international [tos]sers feel free to sign up....maybe we'll put something on www.supertossers.com or something, I'm not sure.

But something will be coming soon.

Red Shirts Duct Tape and YouTube

Hey hey,

So it sounds like the [tos]sers did an AWESOME Job over in NYC with their red tshirts and duct tape.

Now a lot of people don't come from NY and couldn't make it. But apparently there's going to be a huge album of videos and photos going to be created at www.supertossers.com so make sure you go there and check it out!

Some other people (like myself) decided we'd use the tools we had access to, and created some videos.

Here is mine

And here is a response I got earlier today.

If you also have something to say about why [title of show] is special to you, put on your red t-shirt and get some duct tape and make a lil video to tell the world!

The new ep is coming- I promise, I've just been a little side tracked with the Broadway on Broadway thing, and the response to that and things for my theatre course. So I still need to get to some filming.

But it is coming!

Hope you all are well!

Sean,
The Thunder From Downunder (Cheers Hunter!)

Broadway On Broadway

Hey Everyone,

So [title of show] is performing at Broadway On Broadway- and obviously being an Australian I can't make it...UGH!

Anyway, the super [tos]some people at www.supertossers.com are doing this campaign thing to help promote the show. It basically involves registering on their website, wearing a red tshirt with duct tape on it with a line from 'A way back to then'.

I can't make it- but to support I'll post this picture- and if you click it you can go buy tickets to [tos] because you know you should.

Started work on the latest episode tonight. You'll get to see it soon.

Something BIG has arrived!

Here it is folks, the Cloverfield/Little Shop Of Horrors Mash Up!

There's something lurking in my room- and it's putting the NY trip on hold!

There's lots of kind of 'hidden meaning' stuff in that clip- what can you work out?

We'll make a blog post about it soon.

The Gospel According To Sean

So as you may know I've seen 'Altar Boyz' a few times now (well ok fine, three to be exact!) That currently holds the record for the most times I've seen a show.

I loved it!

And I was lucky enough to have the boys cameo in the latest episode of the show!!!
Take a look- they do a pretty awesome Improv cameo!

Season 2 Episode 2- yes it's now posted, it's called 'The Gospel According To Sean'. It takes place a week after episode 1 of the Season, with Jarrod still on a mission to save Mindy. Sean hasn't heard from him, and he hasn't heard from Steff and Matt in a long time either. He's feeling quite alone and is losing faith in the group- will they all actually make it to Broadway in December?

Sean dumps the gear from his school bag on the ground in search of some homework and finds a flyer from someone at the train station...it leads Sean off on another adventure!

Meanwhile that bag...

You'll have to see what happens next week! Let's put it this way though- it's going to be BIG!

A BIG thanks to all my special guests this week- you guys rock! :)

Last Shows of Altar Boyz

Hey Melbourne,

So this week Altar Boyz finishes its run in Melbourne, unfortunately early due to low ticket sales.

BUT you can catch them BEFORE they go.

And you should- because it's an amazingly funny show, with intense dancing and great singing.

I'm seeing it tomorrow night with a group of like 16 people- it's very exciting!

So DON'T miss it, whatever you do!!!!

Jarrod's List of Fun Facts #1

Hello to you, and you, and you, but not to you. Yeah, I see you there. You, in the grey. Where's my money? *BANG* Yeah, gonna give me my money? You got 36 hours. Bitch.

Sorry, you know how we pimps get.

Well, it's time for a new segment of the blog I like to call "Jarrod's List of Fun Facts"
This is where you'll find out random, probably not that important, behind-the-scenes facts about the show and our real lives.

1) "I Wish I Could Go And Meet Johnny" was recorded 3-4 times before Jarrod was happy.
2) During the Season 2 episode "Act 2", Jarrod has an iPod. This is Sean's iPod, as Jarrod lost his.
3) During any scene with that iPod, Jarrod was actually listening to Avenue Q.
4) Sean once complained in 2005 to his and Jarrod's Drama teacher that Jarrod was a pain to work with during the filming of a movie called "2 B D-Sided". Some things never change.
5) The dates we are going to New York are 14th December - 22nd December. We miss out entirely on December 23rd due to time differences, and arrive back on Christmas Eve.
6) Jarrod will be missing his sisters 24th birthday due to the holiday.
7) Jarrod and Sean teamed up again in 2006 to film another movie for their school Drama class. It was called "Captain" and was incredibly funny. Sean played a character known only as "The Homo" and Jarrod played the exchange student, "The Mexican". They had 3 girls with them who played characters such as "The Skank", "The Freak" and "The Druggie"
8) The puppet in Episode 3 was performed by Jarrod (as the head, voice, and left hand). Sean's girlfriend Cath, (who also played herself in an episode), performed the right hand.

So there you are. 8 things you may not have known about the world of "Sean, The Aussie Fan of [title of show]'s Show" and the world of Sean, Jarrod, Matt and Steff.
There will be more to come. For now, sleep tight...
Hey, what you doing back in here? Where's my money? Don't you run out on me! HEY!

Season 2 and a Shout Out!

Hey there everybody!

So today we're finishing off Episode 1 of Season 2 of 'Sean The Aussie Fan Of [title of show]'s Show' so be ready for some awesome fun as we kick of the Second Season of the Show!

This season will have a little bit of a change in direction, as we're not exactly getting to Broadway any quicker- we are 100% in for December- so the 'How do we get to Broadway' joke is kind of used up...so instead you'll get to prepare for the trip with us! And going by the last season and how long it went- this season should take us right to the doorstep of the Lyceum theatre!

Pretty exciting!

[title of show] just posted the latest ep of their show and it's great! Check it out here at www.titleofshow.com

Jarrod's not going to be happy about Mindy!!!!

And now a lil shout out...
Currently in Melbourne there is a great show playing- and I'm not talking about Wicked (still great as well) but I'm talking about a much smaller show playing opposite. Five guys take to the stage nightly and perform in an amazingly energetic show- 'Altar Boyz'. Seriously folks, do yourselves a favour and see THIS SHOW! Rush tickets are only $25, and normal tix are max $48 if you're going to book online.

The show is about a Christian Boy Band (The Altar Boyz) on the last night of their national tour- it's witty, it's clever, it's very energetic (the choreography will leave you amazed and laughing- a LOT!) the songs are really catchy, it's cheap as to go and see and it has heart!

Go see it! You'll love it!
And the cast is just FANTASTIC! I took a bunch of friends and we all LOVED IT!

Need more convincing- well here's some video:

Well are you going yet?

Keep a look out for our video tonight!

Everything Old Is New Again

Heyloo,

So over a year ago now Jarrod, Matt (although he was in Vietnam at the time) and I launched into the professional theatre circuit with our own mini musical called 'Boy Banned' about a guy called 'Stew' who got kicked out of a boy band. It was a little solo show, with lots of film to accompany it.

Anyway that version of the show didn't exactly get the best reviews (we were a lil underrehearsed because of the whole 'Hey insurance' thing!).

But we've always felt that Boy Banned had something special within it's scripted dialogue. So like all good Boy Bands (dam get back together NSYNC!) 'Boy Banned' is making a come back!

Yes we're setting out to rewrite the show, include all the cast members, add new songs and rework the old songs and create a much better 'Boy Banned'.

For now though- to keep fully up to date- you can add the Musical to your myspace friends (click here) and while you're there check out two of the original songs from the original show as well as a stack of Boy Banned photos (like the one above) that we took in a publicity shoot for the show.

Then when the show's up and running come and see us at like the Comedy Festival or something.

For some fun facts this was the original song list from the 'Original Cast Recording':
1. Love Drought
2. Cannibal Capers
3. Compute My Loving
4. The First Recording
5. Farewell
6. A Perfect Ending
7. On Hold
8. Cop That
9. I'm Your Van Gogh
10. We're No Toy Boyz

Farewell and Cannibal Capers can be heard on www.myspace.com/boybannedthemusical

Long Time No Blog

Hey peeps!

Ok thankfully Jarrod has blog posted of late which is dandy because this place would be stinking up and dying otherwise.

So what's new?

Well we're still in the season break of the show- I'm meant to be filming another piece of bonus footage for you all- but well, that hasn't happened yet.

Plans have begun for season 2, which is super duperly excited and that will be arriving soon.

Jarrod, Matt and I are currently revising one of our previous musicals- you can go to it's myspace
www.myspace.com/boybannedthemusical - there it has all sorts of fun things like photos and music demos from the original version of the song. Dodgy yes, no versions and songs coming soon.

December is getting closer and we're super pumped. We where's Wally'd ourselves on Heidi's cartoon that she got for opening night- (see
http://www.titleofshow.com/ and then go to their blog to find it) we're up in the top right hand corner, and it's so cool! [tos]tralians represent!

Anyway I have a big day of my course about to start, with a vocal class and a movement class this morning (time to get my dance on) and a business class this afternoon.

Have a good one peoples.
More wonderful funny videos coming soon, I promise.

Sean,
The Aussie Fan Of [title of show]

PS: Jarrod we need to get Matt to blog, and Steff onto this blog.

The Ode To Johnny - The E! True Hollywood Story

Hello fellow Johnny fans, fans of the YouTube show, or some random person thats entered the blog and is now dazed and confused.
Last night, my brilliant Ode To Johnny went on the air... On the internet...
And what an ode it was. Sprites references. Avenue Q references. Stalking references! How can you go wrong?
Well, we did go wrong.

See, this Ode was SUPPOSED to be in the episode entitled "Jarrod, The Aussie Fan Of John Tartaglia's Show" or "The Understudy" The scenes were filmed for it, the song was recorded. This wasn't my first time re-doing the Avenue Q song "I Wish I Could Go Back To College" As I mentioned in a previous blog I re-wrote the song, which we called "I Wish I Was Back In Year 7", and Sean and I performed it live at our final year 12 assembly last year. The song (and a film clip that's just as funny) is on the Lazy Creations Group YouTube page.
ANYWAY back to the story.

So as we imported the footage, Sean's computer goes all spaz-like and freezes. We shut down the computer and try again. By this stage, I've gone home. Sean messages me saying "We didn't save the Ode To Johnny and we lost it.

So the episode airs with no ode. Bugger.

I go around to Sean's place a couple of weeks later. We film and blah-blah-blah. I wasn't paying much attention. As long as I don't have to dress like Shakespeare again, I'm happy! Before I go, I decide to re-record the song. We make sure we save it, then listen to it back. I've actually forgotten what was wrong with it, but it wasn't quite right... Oh that's right I punched someone for mocking me halfway through. Good times...

So we record it again. Sound's wonderful! Except for the end. The ending sounds rushed. Ah well, off I go home... To stress out about the rushed ending. I continuously beg Sean not to put it on the internet like that! He didn't.

So fast forward about 3 weeks later. I'm at Sean's. We may have filmed the trailer, I can't remember. Man that was a weird day. So by this stage I've recorded the song three times - or thrice, as the olden day people say. Pretty friggen' pedantic of me, right? Wrong!

So finally the song was recorded and listen to a couple of times. It worked out great. Sean edited the video and we now have "The Ode To Johnny" in all it's glory. Sean's going to pass it on to Jeff Bowen who will hopefully pass it on to mr Johnny Tartaglia himself. Soon we'll know what Johnny thinks of it. But for now, here are the lyrics:

I wish I could go and meet Johnny

My life would be so complete then

What would I give?

To go out and live

Right near him in Hell’s Kitchen…

I wish I could go and meet Johnny

With Johnny I’d know who I am

Even though I’m not gay

I’d love him anyway

As much as a hetero can!

How do I go and meet Johnny

I don’t know what to do anymore

I wanna go to New York

Find his studios

And tell him it’s he I adore

In a straight way!

I wish I could just meet the sprites

Get to him through them

Though they aren’t real

Am I condemned?

Let me just remind you that I’m straight again

I could be

On the set of his great show

Watching the scenes that he does

Praising the lord for the chance that he gave me

But I’m not, and I’m sad because…

I wish I could go and meet Johnny

How do I go and meet Johnny?

Oh

I wish he were still playing Princeton

But if I were to go and meet Johnny

Think what I loser I’d be

He might see this vid

And think, “Who’s that kid?

He’s virtually on the brink of stalking

Me”

CHEERS!

Matt Vogel - The Talented Key To A Lifelong Dream

Matt Vogel.
Does that name ring a bell? He's a rock-star with "The Mighty Weaklings"...
He's a father and a husband. He's one of the brains behind "The [title of show] Show"
But most importantly... He is Big Bird.

Well... Kind of!

You see, Matt Vogel is a puppeteer (or more precisely, a Muppeteer) on Sesame Street. He has become the understudy for Big Bird when his usual and original performer (the talented Caroll Spinney) is unable to perform him. Don't know what Vogel's Big Bird is like? Try and find a Sesame Street segment called "Journey to Ernie" (doesn't seem to be viewable on YouTube but is available on some DVD's) or see his Baby Big Bird in "Sesame Beginnings"

Vogel's Big Bird is excellent, though, albeit, will never be the same as Spinney's. But that can be said for any Muppeteer replacements. Steve Whitmire does an excellent job as Kermit and Ernie, but will never replace the late, great Jim Henson.

Anyway, let me explain why he's a key He's excellent. And he's a key to a lifelong dream. He's a key for me to enter the Sesame Street set. I have a few things on my life "To Do" list including "See the Eiffel Tower", "See the Hollywood sign" "Attend a Hollywood shin-dig" and "Enter the Sesame Street set"

So be prepared to hear me talk a lot more about Matt Vogel in season 2 of the show. I have a couple of things I want to do in this season which could HOPEFULLY end with me on the Sesame Street set with a new jumper... You'll get it in season 2.

By the by, my Ode To Johnny song "I Wish I Could Go And Meet Johnny" is coming - I re-recorded it several times but I'll blog about that when it comes out.

Cheers, and Johnny be praised!

We got blogged!

Hey folks!

So today I discovered that we've been blogged about! And that's on other people's blogs- not just on the [title of show] one!

Today I googled myself- sadly I find that enjoyable now, to see who in the world is watching the show, finding out where it's going etc. (Finding out we were being talked about on Broadway World for the first time got me super excited!)

Anyway I found out the other day there was a post about us on blogwaybaby! Yes you can click that and go directly to the blog post! And that blog post seems to be linked up with blogs all over the place, so that post is going out global everyone!

Awhile ago I also featured on my friend Jeb's blog which can be discovered by clicking here

It all just kind of reminds me of this:

I love the world.

DVD!

So season 1 of 'Sean The Aussie Fan of [title of show]'s Show' is coming slowly to an end, with the final episode for the season to appear as a congratulations for the opening of [title of show] on Broadway!

But we've remastered all the episodes into TV format, created some trendy menus and found a stack of bonus clips that we've stuck together and whacked onto some round things more commonly known as DVD's. (DVD also includes a fancy cover)

More details about how you can get hold of the DVD will come soon.

For now though I thought I'd also talk about the recent launch of the 'Virtual [tos] Fund' for all those people willing to donate their small change but living WAY too far away to give it to me or Jarrod/Matt/Steff. So now see the little widget on the right of your screen. That's it! Click the 'Donate' button and you can donate, and see how close I am to the target goal!

All money donated via the net does get shared between the four of us.

Saw WICKED last night thanks to Kris, and it was great fun. Martin has also seen WICKED now and will give his verdict soon on whether it is truly biased against green people.

Part of the buzz!

Hey everyone!

So I've been away on holiday for a week now, but I have returned and boy did I get some surprises when I got back. Firstly [title of show] opened in previews! (GO GUYS!!!) As a present we made them a nice little video- a mock movie 'preview' for their 'previews' (see it's very clever, rocket science almost.)

The video looks something like this:

Anyway as per usual I sent the episode to the [title of show] gang, and when I got home I logged on to the [title of show webpage- www.titleofshow.com, and discovered something AMAZING! Jeff had posted a blog post with our video!

This is what it said:
"Sean/Jarrod/Matt & Steff"
Jul 05, 2008 by Jeff
"So, if you've been following the adventures of Sean Bryan and his cohorts as they do their damndest to get to NYC for [title of show] from down under, here's some big news...
(The video posted for all to see)
Woohoo!"

WOW!!!!

And ever since our views on the episode have been climbing and climbing! It's crazy.

However not as crazy as this: (Wish I was there)

Soon Sean, soon....

Thanks to all the fans that watch the show regularly, and the 500 odd new people who have come down to have a look. Thank you all! Soon we'll be on Broadway seeing [title of show] soon too.

Our friend Kris, who's a producer of [title of show] and currently working in Melbourne on WICKED had a pretty exciting day yesterday- finally WICKED opened in previews, as a present we made him this video- and everyone is going nuts for it. 'Not All Green People Are Wicked!' is the current catch phrase! Download the picture above and use it as your MSN icon, put it on your websites! Get the word out there, help Martin! I'm forever waiting...

Hey Sean here,

It's day three of my show 'A Long Walk Off A Short Play' and I'm sitting here at the Library on campus typing up a blog.

I have two shows today- a matinee and a night show. The matinee though is only half of the show, but I have a monologue and a duologue to perform in it. Tonight we do the whole show so on top of my fisherman monolgue I also play 'Nicolai' a teenager who really wants to sing- even though everyone thinks he's gay for wanting too. He gets some laughs which is good!

I'm also a lighting operator for the show, and I move some set around, so it becomes a busy night, I'm constantly doing something. I have fifteen minutes until I'm meant to be here and the theatre isn't open yet, so I'm just waiting. Like yesterday when we had to get here at 3.30pm for a 7.30pm show. *sigh* I got kicked out of the make up room twice, I wasn't supposed to warm up the lights til much later, I HAD NOTHING TO DO!!!!!!! AHHHH!

Yes it was stressful. But the show was really good last night which was awesome.

As I have another two shows tomorrow and work on Sunday I am unsure when the next episode will be made, but it will hopefully be soon.

TONY TONY TONY!

Hey everyone,

So yesterday we filmed a special Tony Awards episode. 646 Guy was quick to note 'What time did we get the Tonys' here's the deal.

We taped the TONY awards live at 10am because I'm currently in the middle of a show, and we watched them when I got home.

And by watched I mean we fast forwarded to bits and pieces that we could do sketches to.

My reaction to 'In The Heights' winning is real...that was the first time I'd found out who won and I'd been wondering all day through tech rehearsals, I'd been counting down the minutes.

Anyway enjoy our Tony Awards Special.

Oh and don't forget to make a bid for our poster!

Here's the ep, enjoy!

And the Bidding Begins!

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

Yesterday began the great bid off for our fan made 'Lyceum Poster'.

Why are people bidding for a fan made Lyceum Poster: Because it's going to help us get tot Broadway!

You see lots of people have been asking how they can help us out, that they would love to donate some money. Well now you can help, you can help US get to Broadway and get yourself a signed, autographed 'Sean The Aussie Fan Of [title of show]'s Show' Lyceum Marquee poster as seen in episodes 7 and 8 of the show.

So you're all like 'I want to help them!' Well help away, click here!

Episode 8: A Lot Of Spam premiered on YouTube yesterday which is very exciting!

We were going to announce confirmed details for New York, but unfortunately pretty much everything from the quote we had fell through...so we were stuck without episode material.

So we utilised the depressing feeling of not being confirmed as part of the episode!

And here it is:

Enjoy the Episode, Have a bid,
And you could help us get to Broadway and have an autographed prop all of your own!

TONY award special of the show coming soon!

Thanks for watching!

You Can Help Us Get To Broadway! YES YOU!

A big hello to all the fans of 'Sean The Aussie Fan Of [title of show]'s Show',

Now many of you have asked "How can we help you get to Broadway Sean? We live in [title of hometown] which is FAR away from you, so we can't exactly donate small change to you!"

Well now you can help us. And here's how!

Many of you would have seen Episode 7: The Understudy (at this stage about 94 people have seen it). At the very end of the episode is a very nice replica of the 'Lyceum Marquee' which Jarrod and I made before we made the episode.

Don't remember it...well have a look at the photo attached to the post!

So here's the plan:
We're going to put the sign up on eBay and you can bid for it to help us get to Broadway! Hey we'll even sign it for you, and if you're a New Yorker, or seeing [tos] maybe you could take it to the Stage Door and get the [tos] gang to sign it (now that would be HOT!)

So when we post it on eBay we'll let you know here and make a little video! So get behind our quest and get bidding to support us, and you may score yourself a one of a kind, autographed Lyceum [title of show] Marquee prop!

Until then happy bidding!

The Story So Far...

Episode 7 - "The Understudy"
Also known as "Jarrod, The Aussie Fan Of John Tartaglia's Show"

Monday, 2nd June. 6:58am. I'm fast asleep.
Not for much longer. *BEEP BEEP* goes my phone. I'm not happy. It's from Sean. What can't possibly wait until a reasonable time to tell me? John Tartaglia loved the show? He laughed his arse off? Okay, NOW I'm happy...

Sean had told me once he found out Johnny would be seeing the show, that I could have my own episode. I had made big plans for this episode. Including a song. One song to blow the world away. An ode to Johnny...
Sean and I talked, and decided that the episode would be made like I had abducted the show when he wasn't around.

Sean got the camera ready to film the episode, but the moron left it running. I came in once he left the room, and saw the camera recording... This was my chance... This was MY episode...
With a very well created parody of the opening credits, my episode was underway.

Sean has brilliant unlimited access to the internet, with an incredibly fast connection. So YouTube videos load up as quick as lightning, ready to be watched. Can you think of a better way to watch Johnny? I can't! It was here that I said the immortal line. The line that is going to sweep the world, be printed on mugs and t-shirts everywhere: "Who needs porn when they have you, Johnny?"

Time for a Johnny Fund update! Due to credit card payments, I had to spend $300 of the fund. This took it to $92. Though I completely forgot during the filming of this section that I had gained another $150 - which means my real Johnny Fund was (and, at time of writing, is) $242.65 - oops!

We then recorded the song, an ode to Johnny to the tune of Avenue Q's "I Wish I Could Go Back To College" I wrote this song weeks ago, and wasn't my first experience re-writing the song. Last year, Sean and I performed a song I wrote entitled "I Wish I Was Back In Year 7" for our final assembly at school (viewable on the Lazy Creations YouTube Channel). This time though, it was a solo song, all about my quest for Johnny, and the heterosexual love I have for him. We filmed me with my Johnny fund bag, and several things relating to Johnny, like one of those old fashion love song film clips...

I edited the video, excited that Sean hadn't caught me. Yet. He walked down the stairs, and caught me just as I was gloating about the fact he was a moron. As he chucked a wobbly, I realized there was something above his bed... A make shift marquee, one that looked exactly like the [title of show] one... He'd been having withdrawals because he couldn't see the real one.

Now, clearly Sean was present during the entire filming of this episode. I was just the star for once. And the editing process was just about as bumpy as it was in the show. See, as we were importing the footage from the camera to Sean's computer, it decided to have a spasm attack and freeze up on us. That was fine, we just re-imported the footage. It was at this stage I left Sean's house, and when I got home, I got the bad news - we hadn't saved "I Wish I Could Go And Meet Johnny" and it had been lost. Which meant my episode couldn't have the brilliant ode I had planned on... Thanks to some great editing by Sean, the episode was saved, minus the song. But soon that song will be made public!

So that was my episode.
The Johnny Fund: $242.65

And that is the story so far!

The Story So Far...

Episode 6 :
The Four Reasons

After bouncing up and down and all around over the fact that John Tartaglia would be seeing these episodes, I completely retracted any doubts I had made about this show. What did I know?

Sean had mentioned a few times that our sexuality had been questioned by a couple of people, so we decided it was about time to set the record straight and proclaim our heterosexuality. But how would we do it? Sean had a great idea. He'd just outright tell the audience we were straight. Unfortunately I chose that exact time to burst into the room singing "I Love You Johnny" which made us seem so much gayer... We needed a new way to tell the world we were straight...

We began looking at hotels. Matt wanted a 5 star hotel, but Sean and I were both clearly against the idea. I don't have that kind of money. Damn that blind pension of his. After arguing a little, we decided we needed to set a date. Sean wanted the opening night of [title of show] There was no chance of that happening!

"We Love You" is a parody of the finale song "Who Loves You" from Jersey Boys. Sean had written it the evening before, and we needed to create the dance before we filmed. Thankfully, due to my boring little life, I had seen the dance to this song the cast had done at the Tony awards on YouTube many times and was able to remember the dance almost exactly...
Unfortunately I had to teach those boys the dance... That was a lot more difficult than it seemed. But we managed to get it down pat pretty well, after filming it around 5-6 times. A falsetto voice hurts after a while...

We decided on a date (though in real life these dates had been set for a while) December 14-22
Now, how do we show we aren't gay? Well, I was asleep at this stage, and the boys decided we needed a girl to come with us. But who? Cath? No... Katherine? No... Teale? No (though they're smartasses for mentioning her - Teale was a girl I used to have a little crush on, and Sean takes much joy in pointing it out where possible)... Steff... Yeah! Steff had been in our drama class at school for the last two years, and she was very excited about New York. She was doing a show on the day we filmed, so we headed out to the hall and waited for her to finish. After sitting in the car for a while, with complete strangers waving to us quite a few times, we finally made our move... I threw Steff over my shoulder, ran to my car, and chucked her inside. We told her about our plan... She was up for it.

Episode 5 Part 2
When New York Came To Australia

16th of May
2 New Email Messages:
Jeff From [title of show] he's seen the latest episode, he loves where it's going.
The second has been marked as Junk Mail. It says [tos] in the title, but it's from someone I've never heard of before. A random fan? Hey I'm on a mac, it's not like I'm about to get a virus, I'll check it out.

To that stage in my life it's possibly the greatest thing to have happened.

It's from a guy called Kris Stewart, he's a producer of [title of show], people may know him as the co-founder of the New York Musical Theatre Festival, he's an Aussie, a Melbourne Guy, he's out here working on WICKED.

We planned on doing a WICKED themed episode.

Emails darted back and forth a few times that night. I was bouncing off walls and couldn't stop grinning all night. Could this possibly be happening??????
I told Jarrod, Jarrod was excited, I told Cath, she was excited, damn  I even told my current bosses and they were excited!

Saturday was the next day, we were going to film in the city, I wondered if Kris would be free and if he wanted to do a cameo. He was up for it. It was going to be a fantastic day. We planned on introducing Matt to the show as well which was going to be good.

Then it started raining! Which was great (note sarcasm)- filming in Melbourne, on a FREEZING day, with cars splashing through puddles. All the theatres were pretty much closed, but we filmed outside anyway, and we couldn't make it in time to the Princess Theatre to see the one that would be open, it currently is home to 'Guys and Dolls'.

We visited the 'Three Weeks In New York' promotion and were slightly let down, but we did meet Elmo and Abby Cadabby from Sesame Street (see above photo). After all this we headed down to the Melbourne Arts Centre to meet Kris. He was great! We loved talking to him (Jarrod was super excited because Kris had met Tartaglia) and we even managed to film inside...even though there were some ushers looking like they were ready to pounce on us and the video camera, tearing all our hard work to shreds. Kris was at the time working on a WICKED rehearsal, three other shows were playing at the Arts Centre, it was the most alive that we'd seen the city all day.

A new star was born, Ollie my dog. Clear limelight hog, even Kris thought that he was the best part of the WHOLE episode. I think Matt and My rip off of the WICKED logo is pretty cool- this is but one of the cool things you can do with an Albino friend! And meeting Kris and having him cameo was absolutely awesome. I didn't think we could top that effort. This ep was cramazing!

235 views so far for part 2, only 3 comments, 4 five star ratings and 1 amazing day! Jeff summed it up nicely in an email to me 'this is a small-ass planet isn't it?'

Jarrod was about to get more excited, Jeff said he'd pass the eps onto John Tartaglia. He may have fainted, he may have exploded, he may have been bouncing off the walls. It was all so unbelievable.
